The Science
Humans are complex. Manifesting is complex. That’s why I set up to write this book. I wanted to understand human behavior completely and what allows us to perform at our best. I wanted to know How Top performers could manifest the life of their dreams. The Reality Hacker Handbook is based on solid scientific research from sport performance to consumer psychology and everything in between. Once I finished my research , I merged with everything we know about the law of attraction and assumption to create a comprehensive, easy-to-understand manual.
Confirmation bias is the idea that we see the world with colored glasses. This biases our perception of the world, often for the worst. From identity politics to feeding our anxiety, confirmation bias makes us look at the world in a distorted way.
However, if we are affected negatively by confirmation bias, we can reverse engineer it to use it positively. This is where the concept of "reality hacking" comes into play.
A study published by Harvard looked at misinformation in the context of politics and found that partisanship and identity are at the core of why people consume misinformation. In short, they consume misinformation that aligns with their identity and partisanship. This insight can be applied to our personal growth strategies.
When we create our statements and reframe our day with statements designed to match our desired reality (a technique from the Reality Hacker Handbook), we create a kind of "positive misinformation" by altering our perception of actual events to fit our desired perspective. As a result, it reshapes our identity and our view of the world. This approach is similar to a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
The idea of CBT is that changes in cognitions can lead to changes in emotions. In other words, changes in the way we think can change our emotions. The way we think about our life experiences influences how we feel and behave in the context of specific situations. Therefore, if we want to change behavior, we must reframe our thoughts. This doesn't mean ignoring negative situations; it simply means reframing them in more positive or neutral ways.
This is exactly what The Reality Hacker Handbook teaches you to do. It instructs you to look at your day and search for confirmation that your desired reality is on its way. It teaches you to examine negative events in your life and twist them around to find out how they can benefit your goals. If there are no possible benefits, then it is dismissed as an anomaly, thus using some of the core principles of CBT.
Finally, a Cambridge University paper explores anchors in judgments of belief and value. This ties in nicely with the creation of magnet and identity statements. These statements act as anchors that color our world perception and, after a while, become heuristics. In other words, we use these anchors to make quick generalizations and judge events.
By using a magnet statement such as "[Full name] is a money magnet" as an anchor and by reframing the events of our day (e.g., "Julie bought [Full name] a coffee today; this must mean he's a money magnet"), we use these heuristic anchors to shortcut information processing. This makes it easier to access and integrate information that aligns with our desired reality.

Self-talk is a cornerstone of the Reality Hacker Handbook. The effects of different types of self-talk, using first-person "I" versus non-first-person language, have been extensively explored. Research shows that distancing ourselves using non-first-person language, such as our own name or "you" (e.g., "you got this" or "[Full Name] got this"), has been shown to reduce anxiety.
In the paper "Self-Talk as a Regulatory Mechanism: How You Do It Matters," the authors used seven studies to explore the effects of different self-talk strategies. These studies demonstrated that using non-first-person pronouns and one's own name (rather than first-person pronouns) during introspection enhances self-distancing. Since one of the core principles of manifestation is that one must be detached from their desire, using one's first name is therefore an easy hack to distance oneself from their desires.
Using distancing language, such as the full name or first name during self-talk, also reduces anxiety. The paper further states, "non-first-person language use (compared with first-person language use) leads people to appraise future stressors in more challenging and less threatening terms. Finally, a meta-analysis (Study 6) indicated that none of these findings were moderated by trait social anxiety, highlighting their translational potential. Together, these findings demonstrate that small shifts in the language people use to refer to the self during introspection consequentially influence their ability to regulate their thoughts, feelings, and behavior under social stress, even for vulnerable individuals."
This provides further evidence that using one's name can have a significant impact on one's ability to manifest the life of their dreams. By reducing anxiety and shifting their point of view, people who use their [full name] during self-talk have fewer negative thoughts (anxiety), which helps them see the world more positively and attract more positivity into their lives. This ties in seamlessly with the confirmation bias principle and Cognitive Therapy.

The Gateway Project was a Project that was done in collaboration between the CIA and The Monroe institute. The project talks about Remote viewing and remote influencing. While this is not the Focus of the realty hacker handbook , We use a modified version of the relaxation exercise that is meant to help the subject remote view and remote influence. Furthermore the Gateway project explores how one can use the energy of certain objects to influence others. This is the basis of using totems in the creation of the alter ego. By embedding specific energies in object over time these objects can influence the target person. In the case of the reality hacker this is you.
This paper explores the benefits of Goal monitoring. In the context of the Reality hacker Handbook this means looking at your statement and monitoring it with the confirmation bias principal to move towards your goal. In short the simple act of goal monitoring improves by (d = 0.40). your chance of succes. in very simplistic terms lets say you have 1000 mini goals a year and on average your able to reach 500 . then by goal monitoring this would allow you to achieve an extra 200 goals. ( i over simplify but you get the point)
